Fall protection starts at 4 feet in general industry (29 CFR 1910.28) and 6 feet in construction (29 CFR 1926.501). Many owners of live sites, such as pharmaceutical plants and data centers, apply 4 feet to every crew. Tenet recommends a consistent four-foot fall-protection threshold across mixed operations and construction sites, while addressing task-specific requirements and hazards. In construction, 29 CFR 1926.503 requires the employer to keep a written certification of each worker's fall protection training. Tenet provides the records to support it.
