Got a citation? The clock is running.
An OSHA citation, a fire marshal's violation notice, an owner finding, or an insurer's list. We help you fix the hazard, document the correction, and rebuild the program behind it.
Know your dates.
Federal OSHA deadlines are below. Maryland and Virginia run their own state OSHA programs, and fire code and insurer deadlines are set by whoever issued the notice, so check what yours says.
From the day you receive a federal OSHA citation, you have 15 working days to contest it in writing (29 CFR 1903.17). An informal conference can be requested inside that window.
Post a copy of the citation at or near each place a violation occurred for 3 working days or until it is corrected, whichever is longer (29 CFR 1903.16).
Each item has an abatement date. Certifying and documenting the correction is on you (29 CFR 1903.19), and that is where we come in.
Identify. Correct. Verify.
- Walk the cited conditions and confirm what has to change
- Corrective action plan with owners and dates
- Abatement documentation with photos, records, and training rosters
- Written programs and training behind each item
- Root-cause review aimed at keeping the same finding from coming back
We are not your lawyer.
Tenet Standard does not provide legal representation or legal advice, and we do not contest citations on your behalf. If you are thinking about contesting, call counsel early. The 15-working-day window does not pause while you decide.
Send us the citation details.
The date you received it matters most. Deadlines run from that day, not from when you call us.
Start with a Gap Analysis.
We compare what applies to your site with what you have on file, and price what it takes to close each gap.
Correct it.
Document it.
Tell us what was cited and when you received it. You get scope, schedule, and price in writing.
